4 out of 5 stars delivers as promised now   August 3, 2008

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3QZGK0IJX5YWT The video is not a straight forward review (that's down below) but rather what I was able to accomplish using the life saving 4 gigs of Kingston ram.

Ram is ram but for the price the Kingston is king. I can finally run final cut and motion simultaneously without worry. The install in my macbook pro took all of about five minutes. For most mere mortals though 4 gigs is way over kill and it will not allow you to check email or play itunes any faster. One item of note though - For the first two weeks after I installed the ram I would get a black screen of nothing for almost 10 minutes then everything would work fine. I reset the pram but to no avail so I replaced my usual shutdown with sleep. Then about three days ago it returned to booting like a champ. Go figure.

As if 20+ 5 star reviews where not enough, I felt I needed to write a positive review for Kingson's RAM. I installed the 4GB upgrade in my Macbook and saved all kinds of money. I run Windows XP Pro via Parallels with several RAM intensive apps on both ends with no hiccups.

It was so painless and cost effective I just ordered a new iMac with just 1GB of RAM and will upgrade myself.

My only dislike was that I really wanted 800MHz and I could not find that option with Kingston.

5 out of 5 stars Worked Flawlessly with MacBook Pro Penryn   June 10, 2008

This installs perfectly on the latest MacBook Pro 15". Was up an runnning without a hitch. Don't expect a super massive performance boost, but it is still worth it. I can run VMWare to watch my Netflix videos, while doing normal development work without a hitch.
