4 out of 5 stars A Little Tricky to Apply-But Worth the Cost and Effort   October 12, 2008
Anyone that has had their BB get scratched or gouged in daily use will wish they would have had used this product. The plastic is hard to describe as it is tougher than any plastic film I have come across. I used a this product on a Canon 5D DSLR's LCDs and no longer worry about scratches. I've already order it for my iPod Touch.

Reading the instructions carefully and taking time to apply it will help avoid frustration in installing this product. Getting both sides of the film wet (and your fingers!) with the provided lubricant lets you tease even the smaller pieces into place. Once applied it helps to gently push the product down around tricky corners. Letting it set-up, as directed in the instructions, is probably is a very good idea.

Problems. I've got one small issue the backside battery cover seems slightly too long and now I have a little hang over near the bottom seam were it meets the bottom of the front cover. Now that is installed I'll just have to see if it gets to be a really problem.

The second problem was that the sprayer on the little bottle refused to pump liquid. I just dumped some of it in a shallow dish and gave the pieces a quick bath and shook off the excess. A working spray bottle would probably been easier to lay a mist down on the pieces, again don't forget your fingers. Otherwise the film's adhesive side is going to stick to your fingers like flypaper.

I intend to use the BB with the standard holster. I could not think of any better way to protect the BB from scratches and still use the standard holster.

I hope they make a product for the BB Storm coming!

5 out of 5 stars Patience   August 21, 2008
It takes a little patience to install. Make sure to follow the directions and view the installation video on their website. Again, patience is a virtue. Once it is installed, the Invisible Shield works great. I wish I had used it before my Blackberry fell out of my pocket.

5 out of 5 stars Beats the bulky awkward alternatives   August 1, 2008
I have tried a few other types of cases and protectors, for this phone as well as other phones and so far this is the least obtrusive and most durable.
Granted, the install process takes a little time to get it just right and leaves no room for error. But after its on its great.

Always a conversation getter when I rake a key accross the screen of my phone.

It was worth the effort and great bang for buck

1 out of 5 stars don't waste your money.   June 5, 2008
The product doesn't fit properly/is not correctly sized for the phone. Don't waste your money.

I found this impossible to apply to my BlackBerry. No matter what I tried -- and yes, I followed the instructions to the letter and even watched the instructional video on YouTube -- there were bubbles under the plastic. While the larger bubbles could be "squeegeed" out, the small bubbles could not. Having even one tiny bubble in the middle of your screen makes for a lousy reading experience.

Even worse, the protector for the BlackBerry 8830 is slightly too large for the screen. I had to trim my protector to get it not to stick out beyond the top edge.

This is a waste of money.
