This case also works for the 120GB iPod Classic, which I use it on. The case comes with two backs, one for the 80/120GB and one for the 160GB, and a snap on universal cover. The fit for my iPod Classic is snug and secure. The case also has open holes for the headphones, hold button, and dock, and the holes are all generous enough to be easily accessible without leaving too much extra room. The screen is what needs the most protection and the case has a thin but effective hard casing over it, ensuring that you can pocket the iPod or throw it into a backpack without causing irreparable damage. Most cases don't cover the click wheel because they can interfere with the touch-sensitive controls, but the thin, flexible plastic layer that covers the click wheel has not hampered my ability to control the iPod whatsoever, which has been a pleasant surprise.
Cheaper than most other options, this acrylic case does everything it should. The only caveat is that this is not a shock-absorbent case. If you are going to use a Classic in a situation where a shock-absorbent case is needed, get a case designed to take the hits so your iPod keeps playing skip-free. If you just want your iPod to look great despite countless hours of use, and want to take advantage of the portability of your Classic, this is the way to go. It's clear, it doesn't add much to the overall profile, and it keeps your iPod Classic looking great for as long as the case lasts.

I bought this at WalMart earlier this month because I 1) needed a case for my brand-new $250 gadget and 2) it covered the screen and wheel. After the first day, I noticed a giant scrape on the screen part. I checked, and there isn't any metal at all on my pants pockets or jacket pocket/zipper. That pretty much sealed it, but a day or two later, I noticed a ton of "munge" inside the case. I popped it off and was pretty bummed to find a ton of sand and other gunk around the openings and even between the iPod and the case. Considering that my jacket is pretty new and I don't do anything sand-related on any sort of basis, this was it. I drove the 10 miles to the WalMart and returned it.

I really like this case. It fits my 80G ipod well and protects is from getting scratched. I was skeptical of the plastic cover over the controls, but it works great!

This is by far the best case for your ipod. I like the fact that it covers the click wheel as well as the screen. Highly recommend.

I just bought it for my 80gb iPod. It perfectly fits the ipod and looks really good. It protects the wheel and the screen without limiting functioning. I do not have a dock to see if it fits, but for using it in the car it's perfect...
