Apple announces new faster, more energy efficient Xserve models

As expected Apple announced new models of the Xserve. The new models are based on Intel’s Nehalem architecture. Apple claims the new Xserve is twice as fast. The new models are also more energy efficient, and environmentally friendly.

A nice addition to the Xserve is the optional 128GB SSD as a boot drive, without taking up a drive bay.
